The North Coastal Prevention Coalition will be awarded the 2010 National Exemplary Award for Innovative Substance Abuse Prevention Programs, Practices, and Policies for countering pro-marijuana influences by the National Association of State Alcohol and Drug Abuse Directors and The National Prevention Network, with support from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Service's Center for Substance Abuse Prevention.
The 2010 Exemplary Awards highlight innovation and showcase evidence-based, state-of-the-art substance abuse prevention programs in the United States. NCPC will receive a $1650 mini-grant and two trips to the NPN Research Conference in Denver Colorado, held at the end of August.
