Oceanside’s Eastside Neighborhood is determined to improve their community by proactively seeking feedback from all the people that live there. Members of the Eastside Neighborhood Association visited all the homes in their community, twice this year, to simply ask “what would you like to see improved in our community?” The objective was to get suggestions and ideas to make help their community improve in issues that are important to all.
The group of about 40 people just completed a series of leadership classes that covered many topics including communicating effectively, how to conduct effective meetings, creating a work plan and team building. The information obtained from the residents will then be used for this group of leaders to seek change while utilizing the new skills they’ve just learned.
