About the 420 Remix PSA Contest

The 420 Remix PSA Contest encourages middle and high school students to creatively “remix” prevention messaging by addressing the real‑world impact of substance use and promoting healthy alternatives. The contest was open to all substance prevention topics and aimed to elevate youth voice across diverse communities in San Diego County.

Submissions were reviewed by a selection committee and evaluated based on:

  • Strength and clarity of the prevention message
  • Creativity and originality
  • Relevance to youth audiences
  • Overall impact and effectiveness
