Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs (ATOD) College Internship

Apply for a full year Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs (ATOD) internship through Vista Community Clinic!

This opportunity focuses on alcohol prevention, tobacco control, marijuana legalization and other drug prevention/awareness. This position is perfect for students interested in: public health, political science, health sciences, public policy, medical studies, criminology and social work. This internship will help you to build your skills through the following:

Project Tasks:

• Town Hall planning, organizing, and implementing
• Social Host Ordinance advocacy and awareness for the City of Oceanside & Vista
• Social media underage drinking prevention awareness campaign
• Survey data collection and data entry
• Key informant interview shadowing and attend City Council meetings
• Smoke Free Homes outreach and data entry
• Smoke-Free North County Tobacco Grant

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

• MUST be able to commit at least 20 hours PER MONTH, with a total of at least 80 hours completed over the term of your internship
o 1.5 hr meetings twice per month
o 1 hr one on ones twice per month
• MUST be between the ages of 18-25 years old
